We believe in activating citizens to find holistic solutions to climate change through climate change education. The Climate Action Academy is a virtual training program on climate change and green solutions for K-12 and informal educators. The aim of this training is to prepare you to teach climate change through an interdisciplinary and solutions-oriented perspective not limited to math and science, but also geography, civic education, arts, history, language, and other subject areas.
As a participant in the four-week program, you will receive resources about education for climate action, be guided to develop climate curriculum for your classroom, join an international network of like-minded teachers, and earn a certificate. The weekly zoom calls feature testimonies and presentations from youth activists, community workers, academic scholars and other guest speakers.
We, at 2811, offer this certification with the support of Climate-KIC, the European Union's climate action knowledge and innovation community (KIC). The program is positioned internationally, with presence in over 12 countries in Europe and Latin America.
